The last post

I posted something earlier about the Bruce Levine book that I am reading, and I have temporarily pulled it while I consider some very strong reactions from some people I have a great deal of respect for. I just don't have the words right now to respond to the reactions. I know that I don't feel opposed to the people who reacted, and I also don't feel opposed to the book I am reading, but I'm not sure how to connect those things or explain what I feel the actual premise of the book is. All I know is that what I posted made at least one person feel that they were being attacked for their choices and I am certain that is not my intention, nor do I want anyone to read my blog and feel that way. Having no words to ameliorate the situation at this time, however, I am choosing to just pull the post.

Sorry if anyone was silently offended, and thanks to those who spoke up. You have given me some things to keep in mind while I read the book. Perhaps when I have read more, I will either be able to communicate the validity of Bruce Levine's arguments a bit better, or I will come to understand better why it was offensive to those who responded.
