words of wisdom/mantra for today
I woke up thinking this:
People don't owe you based on the effort you put into a relationship, so you damn well better be sure the effort alone is worth it to you.
& they seem like good words to live by today. I am tired of people talking about the anticipated "big payoff" for relationship work, and I am tired of people feeling entitled based on the time and energy they have put into someone. When you put time and energy into someone you really love, that time and energy IS the freaking payoff. Or it should be. At least that's how I feel about it at this precise moment in time.
Now I will go back to sleep! :)
