there is always that space there
just before they get to us
that space
that fine relaxer
the breather
while say
flopping on a bed
thinking of nothing
or say
pouring a glass of water from the
spigot
while entranced by
nothing
that
gentle pure
space
it's worth
centuries of
existence
say
just to scratch your neck
while looking out the window at
a bare branch
that space
there
before they get to us
ensures
that
when they do
they won't
get it all
ever
-Charles Bukowski

I had forgotten that Bukowski actually writes some good stuff sometimes. I am happy for the reminder.
I almost twittered these, but I thought I would spare my fellow twitterees and maybe entice some non-twitterers...
- The idea of twittering faux responses to faux conversations makes me get all mischievously grinny inside.
- I am seeing this pattern among sxsw'ers where everyone has converged and are now going their disparate ways and the idea of having a record of that convergence and dissipation kind of intrigues me. Esp. the idea of people going on and twittering about their every day lives.
- Also, I'm digging the idea of having twittery poetry groups...or folks who create an ongoing twitter creative work. Like an endless fictional dialog.
