When do you file your taxes? Do you do it yourself or get outside help?
Usually I am late filing, but it doesn't matter because I almost always get money back. This year, I decided to file earlier than usual, and was rewarded with a larger-than-average return (probably because of the new healthcare savings plan at work, as well as some mortgage shenanigans).
I use TaxAct.com for free online. It works great, and saves my returns from one year to the next. Yay!
What's your musical horoscope? (Put your player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.)
Inspired by Stephanie.
The Clash - Rudy Can't Fail
Madness - The Prince (single version)
Neutral Milk Hotel - Ghost
Sunshine - Girls Are Short
Stereo Total - Ma Radio
Tipsy - Hard Petting
Gétatchèw Kassa - Tezeta Fast
The Sisters of Mercy - On the Wire
The Black Keys - I Cry Alone
Air - The Word "Hurricane"
This does not look promising.
What is the greatest compliment you've received?

A good friend recently told me he looks up to me. It was nice to hear.
Have you ever been cheated on? Ever cheated?
Submitted by Joe.
As far as I know, I have never been cheated on...and as far as I know, I have never cheated on anyone. But, then...I guess that depends on how you define cheating. I have had a boyfriend, maybe even two boyfriends, flirt with women and pretend they didn't have a girlfriend, which is damn close to cheating...
But, in general, I am disturbingly loyal...and too much of a blabbermouth to hide anything from anyone I am close to.
We know you never slack off at work, but if you did, what would you do?
Well, this is like the easiest QotD ever. Of course, you know I'd be chatting up a storm, listening to music, and posting my random, disconnected thoughts all over the internet.
duh.
What albums are in heavy rotation for you right now?
I have been listening nonstop to the Smiths all weekend - mostly Meat is Murder. I also got a hankering from some Chicago style punk rock, so I threw on this CD by a band called Not Rebecca, and I can't stop listening to it. Throw a little bit of Pixies (Surfer Rosa!! The only Pixies CD I really like) and Husker Du (Zen Arcade) and you have a good idea of what tunes are rotating around here right now.
If you could get someone in your life to start a blog, who would it be and why?
I am totally nosy and always wanting to know everything about everybody's business, so I would say I would be absolutely thrilled if everyone I know had a blog. I can't think of anyone in my life who stands out as inherently more interesting than anyone else, so I can't be any more specific than that. All of the people in my life have at least one super-tremendously interesting facet of their life that I would love to see shared or that I would love to share with them.
Soda? Cola? Pop? What do you say? Any other regional words that set you apart?
Question submitted by Gladys.
Regionally speaking, folks where I come from say "pop." Which I find so sweet. I always liked the idea of walking into an eating establishment and saying "Gimme a big POP." However, at a time in my life when I was clearly very open to suggestion, I took a trip out to the East Coast (DC, no less) where everyone calls it "soda." So my pop became "soda pop" or "sody" or sometimes, if I am feeling extra sassy, "Sody pop!"
Here in Texas, everything is Coke, even if it is Pepsi. Even if it is freaking Sprite! it drives me bats. BATS!
As far as other regional colloquialisms, the only one I can think of is a tendency to add a preposition at the end of a proposition. Like "Do you want to come with?" I never realized that was strange, but it got pointed out to me when I first moved to Texas.
Also, I refuse to ever ever ever EVER say "y'all." I guess that is just plain old yankee snootery.
